An Adoption Story

Share:

In 2008 we lost our long-awaited first baby through a miscarriage at 8 months. My husband and I were devastated. In 2010, I discovered OrphanCare while doing an internet search on babies for adoption in Malaysia. I sent my profile and sought their help to adopt. They called later that year to say they had a baby girl whose young biological mother wanted to give her up because she was unable to care for her.

It was love at first sight with Sophia for my husband and I. She has brought us so much joy and laughter. She is a talkative little girl and each time she says “mommy” I am overjoyed. Sophia has totally changed my life. OrphanCare’s intentions are noble and through their good work, a child has a better chance of claiming his or her inalienable right – to a family, to love and to live life in full measure.
