Adoption of a child through JKM is done by district. For example, a couple who are residing in Kemaman, Terengganu are registered under JKM Daerah Kemaman. JKM Daerah Kemaman may offer a child to the couple after they receive a child placed for adoption. In OrphanCare, a couple who resides anywhere in Peninsular Malaysia who are eligible to adopt may be offered a child from any of OrphanCare branches or received by any of the 7 districts where KPJ Hospitals have baby hatches.
