What is the procedure to adopt a baby that was placed in the hatch?

The procedure for adopting a baby placed in the baby hatch is as follows:

OrphanCare (OC) will notify JKM and submit a list of potential adoptive parents (OYLs).

The OYLs will then be interviewed and assessed by JKM. Upon receiving approval from JKM, the OYLs will be given a date to attend court to obtain an Interim Custody Order.

After two months of caregiving, the OYLs will be granted a Permanent Custody Order. They are then required to care for the baby for a period of two years. This period is known as the fostering period.

After completing the fostering period, the court will grant approval for the legal adoption.
