Essentially, it is because of the fear of being pregnant out of wedlock. With minimum knowledge about sex awareness, these vulnerable women are usually terrified and alone upon finding out about their pregnancy and do not know where to reach out for help.
Without knowing better and without a sufficient amount of support that they needed, these women tend to feel as though they have no other choice.
