If the baby is found unwell after being adopted, what are the guidelines in handling this issue?

  • During the screening procedures we have checked with the Potential Adoptive Parent if they are willing to consider adopting a child suffering from certain illness which may not show up until the age of 18 months; examples being HIV, Thalassemia, and mild autism.
  • If the couple is unwilling to take such a risk , we encourage them to adopt a toddler or older child instead.
  • Our couples who have adopted their baby from birth and later discover the child to have an illness at a later stage continue the adoption journey and have the child undergo treatment.
