HSBC Foundation has been committed to contributing to the long-term prosperity of the communities they operate in. They support partnerships that help people and communities thrive. On top of providing ongoing community support, they are committed in providing financial and other help in response to unforeseen and sudden challenges including natural disasters, humanitarian crises and pandemics.
HSBC has partnered with local charities and NGOs to support and defend the livelihoods of the underserved communities through their donations and skills trainings. The Foundation has been providing financial support from 2015 to 2017 to OrphanCare for awareness programmes.
With the help of HSBC, OrphanCare was able to organise many events and talks to raise awareness on our mission in helping to change society’s mindset towards orphans, recognizing that children should not be left permanently in orphanages which should be really ‘transit points’ before they are placed with families who can bring them up in a proper family structure.
