Advocacy

Climbing out of old Paradigms
“OrphanCare is working to change current beliefs, attitudes and government policies by advocating and raising awareness about baby abandonment and the deinstitutionalisation of children.”

Types of Workshops

OrphanCare’s Reproductive Health Talks

OrphanCare’s Reproductive Health Awareness Programme was developed with the government within the same objective to help youth better understand and form mutually respectful, healthy relationships with their own bodies and every other body.

Who's it for?

  • Students in secondary schools, colleges & universities.
  • Youths from 18 and older. Parents are encouraged to join along.

Potential Adoptive Parents Training

Our team of skilled professionals employ international best practices on adoption to deliver specialist support throughout the adoption process as well as Potential Adoptive Parents training. All prospective adoptive parents must complete a 1-day compulsory training program when they apply. This training manages expectations with parenting and adopting a child.

Who's it for?

  • Potential adoptive parents who are going through the adoption process with OrphanCare.

Deinstitutionalisation Awareness Webinar

This webinar organised by the DI team is to raise awareness on deinstitutionalisation & reintegration. The objective is to create better understanding to participants so they could be the “barrier” to the children in their centre should the parents have any intention of putting them in the institutions.

Who's it for?

  • Child care centres & institutions.
  • Corporate/Funders of institutions.
  • Corporates or parents who would like to know more about DI.
