Kuala Nerus, 15 January 2026 — Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) has formalised a strategic collaboration with the Trustees of OrphanCare Foundation Registered through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at its Gong Badak Campus.
The partnership supports UniSZA’s Strategic Plan 2023–2030, specifically Core Strategy 1: Future-Ready Graduates, with a focus on strengthening graduate employability, ethical values, and real-world readiness.
Through this collaboration, students will gain access to:

experiential and community-based learning

industrial training and field exposure

professional mentoring and applied social work experience
OrphanCare Foundation will serve as a strategic partner by providing practical training platforms and exposure to best practices in child welfare and community-based social services.
The MoU was signed by Professor Dato’ Dr Fadzli bin Adam, Vice-Chancellor of UniSZA, and Dato’ Aminah binti Abdul Rahman, Trustee of the Trustees of OrphanCare Foundation Registered, in the presence of senior representatives from both organisations.
UniSZA and OrphanCare are confident that this collaboration will contribute meaningfully to the development of socially responsible, resilient, and future-ready graduates, while strengthening the role of higher education in addressing real community needs.
