OrphanCare’s recent High Tea event was a grand success, bringing together over 400 generous donors and supporters in a day of celebration and reflection. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of our new logo, symbolizing the growth and evolution of our mission to support vulnerable children and families.
We were deeply honored to welcome our Patron, Sultanah Hajah Kalsom, and the Minister of Communications, YB Ahmad Fahmi Fadzil, who both lent their gracious support to the occasion. Their presence underscored the importance of the work OrphanCare does and the collective effort to improve the lives of those in need.
A special moment during the event was hearing from OrphanCare’s adoptive parents, who shared their deeply moving personal stories of love, hope, and the life-changing impact of adoption. Their heartfelt testimonies were a powerful reminder of the difference our supporters make in the lives of children.
We were also privileged to have Sir Roger Singleton, a leading advocate for deinstitutionalisation and trustee of the Lumos Foundation, founded by J.K. Rowling. Sir Roger shared invaluable insights into the global movement to shift away from institutional care for children, highlighting the importance of family-based alternatives.
The event was a true celebration of OrphanCare’s mission, marking a milestone in our journey and reaffirming the dedication of our supporters, sponsors, and partners.
