On 8 September, OrphanCare joined partners, civil society organisations, and UNICEF Malaysia in a workshop to advance care reform for children without parental care.
Our own community sessions earlier this year revealed the pressing need for Family-Based Care (FBC)—ensuring every child grows up in a safe, loving family rather than institutions. Many children remain in residential care due to legal, cultural, and systemic barriers, highlighting the urgency for change.
This collaboration marks an important step towards shared solutions, stronger policies, and brighter futures for children in Malaysia.
