Aimi has been passionate about volunteering since she was a young girl. She was a development psychologist & a psychologist first aid volunteer before she joined OrphanCare in 2020. She uses the attachment theory when working with pregnant mothers, traumatised children and at risk families.
Being at OrphanCare has changed her perspective about the ideal community and the importance of family based care. It has also built her proficiencies in the adoption process, building strong relationships with the local adopting system and handling at risk teenagers.
To Aimi, the most rewarding part of this job is working with on going reality issues and finding the best way to help every child who needs a home.
